Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) reported higher fourth quarter earnings of 45 cents per share compared with losses of 22 cents per share a year earlier due to a legal settlement but the company lost customers and recorded $100 million in costs due to Superstorm Sandy. The stock price tumbled $1.48 to close at $13.99.
