Stocks Finish Flat after Late Sell-Off with Zynga (ZNGA) and Avon Products (AVP) on the Move

Closing out the day... Stocks ended flat this afternoon, erasing an earlier rally fueled by the monthly government jobs report, but all three major indexes still posted their first positive week in three weeks. The September unemployment rate fell to 7.8% from 8.1% a month earlier, the Labor Department reported. The U.S. economy added 114,000 jobs during the month, shy of the 118,000 median estimate of economists but the department revised its payrolls readings for July and August higher.
