Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) will report its second quarter results on Jul 19. In its previous earnings announcement from late April, the company reported earnings per share of $1.08, excluding items. That result improved 8% over the consensus. Revenue on a fully taxable-equivalent basis advanced 31% in the first quarter to $17.94 billion. On a pro forma basis, which includes MBNA's first quarter 2005 results, revenue increased nearly 10%. Bank of America stated that it had strong momentum in all of its businesses as benefits from continued execution in its consumer businesses were accompanied by a rebound in trading and good performance in investment banking and wealth management.
Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ:CERN) is the leading supplier of healthcare information technology. In late April, the company posted first quarter results that again included strong contribution from its U.S. and global businesses. Adjusted earnings per share reached 28 cents on revenues of $321.2 million. The earnings result moved past the consensus by 3.7% and beat the year-ago result, while revenues advanced 22% from $262.5 million. Revenue for new business bookings increased 12% year-over-year to $262 million, marking an all-time high level for bookings in the first quarter. Cerner will report its second quarter results on Jul 20.
Kohl's Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is a family-focused, value-oriented specialty department store offering moderately prices national brand apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty and home products. The company reported last week that same-store sales in June increased 7.1%, which was above expectations. Furthermore, total sales jumped 15.1% to almost $1.32 billion. Year-to-date total sales gained 15% while same-store sales were up 6.2%. Kohl's Corporation remains one of the All Stars' favorite names in retail.
ManTech International Corporation (NASDAQ:MANT) is a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs. The company recently announced that it is a subcontractor on the $4 billion U.S. Army Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) program, supporting Lucent Technologies and Engineering and Professional Services Inc. This comes after being named a subcontractor on the multi-award, nine-year, $20 billion U.S. Army Information Technology Enterprise Solutions -- Services (ITES-2S) program. ManTech will report its second quarter results early next month. In early May, the company reported first quarter earnings per share from continuing operations of 39 cents, which beat the consensus by almost 5%, on revenue that increased 26.6% to $275.3 million.
