Western Canadian Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN) (TSX: WTN.DB) (AIM: WTN) ("Western") announces that NEMI Northern Energy & Mining Inc. (TSX: NNE.A) ("NEMI") is postponing the special meeting of its shareholders called to consider the arrangement transaction between NEMI and Western. The meeting was to have been held on June 26, 2006. NEMI has issued a news release issued today announcing the postponement.
