With Windows 7 released, windows users may rush to install it, but before going ahead they should consult the advisor.
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is a free utility that screens your computer and helps you determine if your computer will be able to run the new application without any problems.
The Utility scans your computer, checking internal components, external peripherals, and programs, and alerts you to potential compatibility issues.
If your computer is not compatible, it will offer you upgrade suggestions like which drivers need replacement.
Microsoft released a beta version of Upgrade Advisor on Thursday, available now in English on the company's Web site.
"Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor examines a PC's processor, memory, storage, and graphics capabilities, identifies known compatibility issues with installed software and devices and finally provides guidance on how to resolve those issues if possible," Microsoft spokesman Brandon LeBlanc wrote in a blog post.
