Amazon.com lands upgrade on eve of earnings report

Making what he admits is a "highly controversial call," analyst Mark Mahaney of Citigroup upgrades Amazon.com to a buy rating on the eve of an earnings report that others on Wall Street expect will show the online retailer's weaknesses.
