Textron takeover talk stirs Wall Street's opportunists
Textron shares went into low-earth orbit Thursday on a report that a consortium of Middle Eastern companies is stitching together an attractive takeover bid for the Rhode Island-based aerospace company. So far, there's no independent confirmation that any such deal is in the works, but that didn't stop traders from piling into Textron, pushing its shares as much as 56% higher in the first hour of trade.
