Microsoft has released a second commercial in their new "Laptop Hunters" ad campaign targeting Mac prices, a follow-up to last weeks one which starred "Lauren".
In the new commercial, which debuted Saturday, a curly-haired guy by the name of Giampaolo is given a budget of $1500 with which to find to a laptop with his desired features of portability, battery life, and power.
After browsing several PC's, Giampaolo takes a look at Apple's notebook offerings, but ultimately decides against them. (Watch the ad below)
"This is so sexy," he says in an almost drooling tone while holding a Mac.
"But Macs to me are about aesthetics more than they are the computing power. I don't want to pay for the brand. I want to pay for the computer."
After browsing the store and speaking to sales man on specific specs, Giampaolo finally decides on an HP HDX 16t, which costs $1,099, closing the commercial with the comment "I'm a PC because I'm really picky."
In the first commercial in the campaign, <a href="http://ibtimes.com/blogs/articles/2789/20090329/new-microsoft-ad-takeshard-look-at-apples-high-prices.htm" target="blank">"Lauren"</a> purchased a $699 17" HP laptop, noting that Apple does not offer a laptop of that size within her price limit of $1000.

Lauren and Giampaolo are actors, recruited by Microsoft's agency, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, who pose as a market research firm studying laptop purchasing decisions, according to AP reports.
It picked 10 people who answered a call for volunteers on Craigslist and other Web sites and sent them out with a camera crew and budgets ranging from $700 to $2,000. If they found a computer that fit their criteria, they could keep it.
Perhaps Microsoft should stick to ads that include founder Bill Gates in them like the previously underrated and funny "Jerry and Bill Roadshow" which include comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
