The Grable Foundation, one of Pittsburgh’s largest foundations, announced Wednesday that it is committing $5 million to The Pittsburgh Promise over the next five years. It is the biggest grant in the Grable Foundation’s 32-year history. All told, its grant payments last year were $12.7 million.
