PassAlong Networks Partners With Integrity Music to Launch First freedomMP3(TM)-Enabled Digital Music Store
FaithMP3 Is First Digital Music Store to Use freedomMP3 Technology to Offer Interoperability to Consumers and Protect Artist Rights

PassAlong Networks(TM), developer of digital media innovations and services, in conjunction with Integrity Music, today announced the beta launch of faithMP3, the first freedomMP3(TM)-enabled online digital music store. All music purchased on the faithMP3 site is in MP3 format and plays on all digital music players, including iPods.

PassAlong Networks recently launched the beta-version of freedomMP3 as an alternative solution to the many digital rights management (DRM) problems plaguing the online music industry. An interoperability technology that honors creator and consumer rights, freedomMP3 enables consumers to legally buy MP3 music files and play that music on multiple devices.

"The DRM dilemma is causing consumer confusion and inhibiting the growth of the online music industry," said Scott Hughes, co-founder and SVP of PassAlong Networks and former EMI executive. "FreedomMP3's patent-pending technology allows consumers to conveniently transfer music to their other PCs and play the songs on portable digital music players, including iPods and MP3-enabled cell phones. FaithMP3, which is powered by PassAlong Networks' StoreBlocks(TM) digital store technology, features songs from Integrity Music, a Christian music company. FreedomMP3 balances the rights of both consumers and creators. When consumers attempt to move a freedomMP3-enabled song from a device, they are alerted and asked to confirm whether they want to either "let it go" or "keep it here."
