SUGAR LAND--July 10, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--California's Water Resource Control Board is currently evaluating the state's policy on once-through cooling systems in regard to existing power plant operations. To ensure that the design, location, construction and capacity of the cooling water-intake structures and discharge outlets use the best technology to minimize negative environmental impact, the State Water Board is developing a statewide policy that deals with the cooling systems.
