BEIJING--July 10, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Sulige No. 2 Natural Gas Treatment Plant, one of China's largest natural gas treatment plants, is expected to become operational this month in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia. The $43.5 million ($1 = 6.9 RMB) plant will have the capacity to treat 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and be connected to the Shaanxi-Beijing pipeline. The People's Daily of China had reported that the gas field's complicated geological structure caused investors to hesitate, but Total S.A. ( NYSE:TOT ) (Paris) signed a deal with CNPC in 2006 to recover the resources.
