German, Polish Firms Sign Contract for 800-Megawatt Hard-Coal-Fed Plant

Kompania Weglowa of Poland has signed a contract with RWE AG of Germany to build an 800-megawatt hard-coal-fed plant in Poland. The plant is scheduled to be operating in 2015 and will be much more efficient than older Polish coal-fed power plants.
