HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX: HBM) (HudBay) today announced that Brad Woods has been appointed to the position of Director, Investor Relations, effective November 15, 2006.
Most recently, Mr. Woods was Vice President, Investor Relations for Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (MTS), whose common shares are listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange. MTS is Canada's third-largest national telecommunications provider with a market capitalization of approximately $3 billion.
"We are pleased to have someone with Brad's extensive background in investor relations joining HudBay," said Peter R. Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer. "His broad expertise will serve HudBay well as we further develop relationships with our investors, analysts and the media."
Prior to his investor relations' involvement, Mr. Woods held a number of positions at MTS, including Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, Corporate Auditor and Senior Investment Analyst. Mr. Woods is a Certified General Accountant and a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
HudBay also announced that Don Bain will be leaving the company to operate an independent communications consulting firm based in Winnipeg.
