Community Health Systems to Participate in JPMorgan Healthcare Investor Conference

Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH) announced today that management will participate in the 26th Annual JPMorgan Healthcare Conference to be held January 7-10, 2008, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.

The investor presentation by Wayne T. Smith, chairman, president and chief executive officer, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time (2:30 p.m. Eastern time) on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, and will be available to investors via a live audio webcast. A link to the broadcast can be found at the investor relations section of the Companys website, www.chs.net, and a replay will be available for 30 days using that same link.
