Shine Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SHDG), a provider of technology used for testing and treatment of water, announces a novel marketing plan to municipalities and industry. For a limited time, the installation of its patented PLUS(TM) systems, currently manufactured under agreement with HydroFlo, Inc., will be offered with no upfront capital outlay. Scheduled payments by eligible participants are to be made based upon the utility's prior costs for chemical usage. This proprietary technology eliminates the noxious hydrogen sulfide odors usually associated with sewage treatment facilities by injecting highly diffused streams of oxygen or ozone into sewage pipelines and force-mains while still upstream of main treatment facilities. This oxygen injection method creates an aerobic environment in the pipelines, which eliminates hydrogen sulfide odor and reduces organic loading at the sewage treatment facility itself. Sites have already been located in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington State and elsewhere.
"At the cost per PLUS(TM) system for main pumping stations, even a modest capture rate of half a percent per year of the total available market would generate sufficient gross revenues, resulting in a significant increase in value for Shine Holdings. While these may seem to be ambitious goals, we feel that our aggressive offer and the realized benefits of the PLUS(TM) system will allow us to quickly increase the customer base and augment our market share," commented Brett Swailes, CEO of Shine Holdings, Inc.
The U.S. federal government has documented the necessity of upgrading the nation's aging and deteriorating water infrastructure. With the EPA report to Congress in July 2003 citing an estimated 100,000 major pumping stations across the United States, Shine's Pipeline Treatment Systems (PTS) subsidiary sees a burgeoning market for its patented pre-treatment system to a growing number of these facilities each year.
