Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on October 20 in the Prestonwood Town Center at 5301 Beltline Road, Dallas, Texas. Concurrently, the existing store at 14999 Preston Road will close. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Prestonwood Center Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, and employ approximately 45 people from the community.
The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Prestonwood Center Barnes & Noble on Thursday, October 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District Educational Foundation. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. with a representative from the foundation. Mascots and cheerleaders from the four district high schools will be on hand. Peter Rabbit will host Storytime at 6:30 p.m.
