Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on August 1 in Alamance Crossing at 3125 Waltham Boulevard, Burlington, North Carolina. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Burlington Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and employ approximately 50 people from the community.
The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Burlington Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, July 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Highland Elementary School. Local violinist Jody Gaedtke will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Acoustic duo 3 Feet Up will perform from 8 to 9 p.m. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be on hand to meet his fans.
