Homebuilder Stocks Fall As Gov't Shutdown Stall Sales
The government shutdown is shutting down not only government contractors but creating unforeseen problems with other companies like homebuilders. While the government remains shuttered without a budget, workers at the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development have been furloughed, resulting in the delay of verifications to finalize home sales, Fitch Ratings said in a report
