Chico's May Suffer More Due To Government Shutdown
Chico's FAS (CHS) stock gapped down amid worries that retailers with sizable exposures to government workers and contractors will get hit harder by the federal shutdown. The Fort Myers, Fla.-based women's apparel retailer has 17% of its stores in the D.C. area and California, with 6.4% in the D.C. area alone, FBR Capital analyst Susan Anderson said in a note. The two regions not only have the biggest percentages of government workers, she said,
