Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on July 18 in the Valley View Mall at 4802 Valley View Boulevard Northwest, Roanoke, Virginia. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Valley View Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Hours for the Barnes & Noble Café will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The new store will employ approximately 55 people from the community.
The Valley View Barnes & Noble will remain open late and sell the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, at the stroke of midnight, the morning of July 21, when it officially goes on sale.
