Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), today announced its second Miller Time Pub & Grill opened today in Lincoln, Neb. in the iconic The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel. The hotel, which is majority owned and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is undergoing a major renovation and the restaurant is the first of many new additions.
The new restaurant creates a comfortable, neighborhood social spot while pairing the perfect beer with the perfect bite. The restaurant is hosting a grand opening event Thursday, September 12, which kicks off with a special ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, followed by a block party open to the public that will offer live music, giveaways, food tastings, $1.00 taps of domestic Miller products and more. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit local charity TEAM Jack in support of pediatric brain cancer research.
“Just as the Miller Time Pub & Grill is all about pairing the perfect beer with the perfect bite, we are looking forward to pairing perfectly with the Lincoln community. The Miller Time Pub & Grill experience is about making memories with great tasting beer and delicious food, all at a great price. Knowledgeable servers will be on hand to educate guests on all of our beer products and assist with menu pairings. Whether you’re taking in a casual dinner with family or friends, enjoying an evening on the town or watching football on one of our many TVs, Miller Time Pub & Grill is the easy choice,” said Peggy Williams-Smith, corporate vice president, food and beverage for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “We have already received an outpouring of positive support from the community and we look forward to being a fixture on the Lincoln dining scene.”
Neighborhood Restaurant Featuring Perfect Pairings
A neighborhood social spot and welcomed addition to the downtown Lincoln dining scene, Miller Time Pub & Grill is all about the perfect pairing of beer and food. The lively social spot offers more than 20 specially crafted gourmet burgers, in addition to a variety of salads, entrées and desserts. Offering over 50 varieties of beer and more than 20 draft beer options in growlers, boots or flights, cicerone-certified beer experts assist guests in finding their perfect pairings. The restaurant offers a sizeable bar, in addition to ongoing specials including a beer of the month, happy-hour drafts, beer dinners and beer flights – perfect for the beer enthusiast or novice who wants to learn more about their favorite brew.
Keeping the storied history of MillerCoors in mind, the restaurant features MillerCoors décor, including a collection of iconic memorabilia and artifacts, photos and vintage ads, as well as a retail area where guests can purchase MillerCoors and Miller Time Pub & Grill merchandise.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts re-launched the Miller Time Pub & Grill concept at the restaurant’s original location in Milwaukee, Wis., in May 2013. Marcus Hotels & Resorts is a majority owner and manager of The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel and is overseeing a multi-million dollar renovation of the property, which includes the new restaurant.
