Bank Indonesia to Keep Rupiah Stable After S&P Outlook Downgrade -Official
Bank Indonesia will keep the rupiah stable after a decision by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services Thursday to downgrade its outlook on Indonesia triggered a selloff in local markets, a central banker said Friday. "The impact [of the downgrade] on the market will be temporary as the market was surprised by the announcement," Bank Indonesia deputy governor Perry Warjiyo told Dow Jones Newswires.
