Stocks Weaken Friday Afternoon; Blue Chips Turn Negative
Stocks worsened in early-afternoon action Friday, as even blue chips dipped into negative territory after holding strong earlier. The Nasdaq dropped 0.6% and the S&P 500 lost 0.4%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.1% after rising as much as 0.3% intraday. Volume was tracking sharply lower across the board in the stock market today. Expedia (EXPE) gapped below its 50-day line and plunged 9%. But it appeared to be finding support
