C-COM iNetVu(R) Mobile Antenna First to Be Deployed on Yahsat's Yahclick Network

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 8, 2013) - C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., (TSX VENTURE:CMI) the leading global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, today announced that its iNetVu(R) Ka-98H antenna system, combined with the HNS 2W Dual IFL Transceiver, is suitable to operate over the Yahsat Yahclick network. Yahsat is the leading Middle East satellite operator based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

A number of the iNetVu(R) Ka-98H mobile antenna systems have already been deployed on Yahsat's recently launched Y1B new generation high throughput Ka-band satellite, which covers the Middle East, Africa and South West Asia. To date, the Ka-98H is the only vehicle mounted antenna suitable to operate over the Yahclick network.

The Ka-98H mobile antennas will be sold directly by C-COM to service providers who will be integrating the antennas with their own solutions and reselling them to their customers over the Yahclick coverage areas.

"We are pleased to be able to include a team of service providers in the Middle East, Africa and South West Asia to our rapidly growing Ka-band reseller network in the US (Viasat Exede) and Europe (Eutelsat KASAT / Tooway)" said Leslie Klein, CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc.

"Over the past 9 months, C-COM engineers have worked diligently to make sure that the iNetVu(R) Ka-98H mobile antenna system and its controller are fully compatible with Yahsat standards and to ensure that the system is suitable to operate over the YahClick network." said Bilal Awada, CTO of C-COM.

"C-COM has also developed a number of unique features required for the YahClick Go service to operate seamlessly in the deserts of the Middle East and Africa. One of these is the ability of the iNetVu(R) system to automatically respond to gradual shifting of the sand under the wheels of a vehicle, thus allowing the system to maintain satellite connections without any disruption in service. The product is now in full production and is available for immediate delivery." Awada continued.
