Workers Turn Up Heat On Fast-Food Wages In New York
Hundreds of fast-food workers in New York City walked off their jobs today in a coordinated protest to push for higher wages for their traditionally low-paying jobs. Organizers said employees from chains such as McDonald's (MCD), Burger King (BKW), Yum Brands' (YUM) Taco Bell and others were planning to participate in the one-day strike.
