GoodCompany Funding

GoodCompany Ventures, a program of nonprofit GoodCompany Group, was founded in 2009 to assist social entrepreneurs to access both the business strategies and the investment capital of the traditional venture community and to develop social innovations into enterprises capable of delivering large-scale social impact. Now entering its fifth year, the GoodCompany Ventures accelerator is the oldest, the most rigorous and most successful program of its kind and its graduates have succeeded in raising over $30,000,000 to fuel their social innovations. Building on this record of success, GoodCompany has established GoodCompany Funding to provide more reliable access to capital for the best social entrepreneurs and develop opportunities for traditional investors to engage in impact investing.

Garrett Melby, a founder of the Ventures program, will serve as Managing Director of GoodCompany Funding. “Investors Circle Philadelphia has been indispensible as an investment partner for GoodCompany and central to the development of Philadelphia’s reputation for national leadership in supporting social entrepreneurs, “ said Mr. Melby, “It is a testament to the confidence of ICP’s members in the quality of GCV’s entrepreneurs and the significance of our common goals that they would support the launch of GoodCompany Funding by making such a substantial commitment toward the success of our 2013 Ventures program.”
