Stock Averages Move Up But Volume Can't Keep Pace
Stocks logged solid gains Wednesday as the market saw the much-anticipated Fed decision to hold rates at or near zero percent. But volume didn't keep up with prices. The Nasdaq climbed 0.8%, the S&P 500 rose 0.7% and the Dow Jones industrial average added 0.4%.
