Hispanic IT Executive Council to Host Their Third Annual Leadership Summit in Miami

OAKBROOK, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/13 -- The Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) will honor its Top 50 IT professionals in Latin America during the third annual Q1 IT Leadership Summit. The summit will be held March 14th - 15th at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Miami.

Conference keynote speaker Manny Medina, Chairman and CEO of Medina Capital, will lead a discussion on unifying the Americas through technology. Other topics discussed at the summit will include competency and career management, big data analytics, diversity inclusion, social media, and nearshoring.

"We want to celebrate and encourage Hispanics in the technology industry," Andre Arbelaez, President of HITEC and Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer of Softtek USA, said. "We want to push up mid-level Hispanics in IT to the upper ranks and we want to pull up young stars and promote them so they can get to the next level."

HITEC will honor its Top 50 IT professionals in Latin America with a gala Thursday night. Alessandra Villegas of Telemundo's "Un Nuevo Dia" will host the event.

Other conference speakers include top executives and diversity leaders from companies across the Americas.
