Stocks Hit Multiyear Highs; EverBank Breaks Out
Stocks put in a sharp rally Tuesday amid strong service-sector data and hopes that the Fed will keep interest rates low. The Nasdaq jumped 1.3% to its best levels since November 2000. But the tech-heavy index is still 37% off its March 2000 record high. The S&P 500 gained 1% to a fresh five-year high. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones industrial average climbed 0.9% to a record high.
