Amazon eyes expansion
Move over Google, there's another tech company in town that is growing. Amazon.com is looking for 300,000 square feet to 500,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan , more than three times its existing space here, according to The Wall Street Journal . The Seattle-based e-commerce giant is in early talks with the owner of the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan, but the company has also looked at spaces in midtown. Amazon currently has 100,000 square feet of space at 1350 Sixth Ave., between West 54th and West 55th streets. Recently, Google closed on 90,000 square feet of more space at Chelsea Market .
