To celebrate reaching 1 million customers, Consumer Cellular is giving $1 million to its employees and five charities, including the American Cancer Society.
“We wouldn't be celebrating today without our great customers and employees,” said Consumer Cellular CEO John Marick. “To commemorate this milestone, and to say 'thank you' one million times, we are giving $500,000 to our employees and $500,000 to charities that touch the lives of so many of our customers.”
Consumer Cellular's 750-plus employees will each receive a portion of $500,000, divided based on tenure. Another $500,000 will be split evenly between the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Meals on Wheels Association of America and Parkinson's Disease Foundation – a $100,000 contribution to each organization.
