Android Users Have Notably Lower Mobile Voice And SMS Consumption Than iPhone Users
The latest Alekstra statistics on Android smartphone and iPhone user profiles offer an interesting glimpse to how different the two consumer groups can be. In December 2012, Android users had 35% lower mobile voice minute consumption and 30% lower text message consumption than iPhone users in Finland. The SMS volume of iPhone users declined sharply during the calendar year 2012. Interestingly, the SMS volume of Android users seemed to bottom out at around 50 messages per month during the second half of 2012. The SMS volume of iPhone owners was as high as 90 messages per month at the beginning of 2012, but declined to below 70 messages per month by December 2012.
