Hormel Q4 Profit Just In Line, Shares Rise On Outlook
Hormel Foods (HRL) profit just met estimates when it reported fourth-quarter earnings Thursday before the market opened. But shares rose after the company raised its full-year profit outlook. The maker of Spam lunch meat, Jennie-O turkey products, beans and other foods reported fiscal first-quarter earnings per share of 48 cents, unchanged from the same quarter last year. That was slightly better than the two prior quarters when Hormel missed EPS
