When it comes to health, Coloradans have a lot to be proud of. The perception of Colorado as a healthy, rugged Western mountain state has helped attract many people from around the country interested in a healthier lifestyle. The state consistently ranks as one of the leanest states in the nation. Denver, with the nation’s largest parks and trails system, is one of the healthiest cities in America.
And through the work of Denver Health, the state is home to one of the most successful public health safety net systems in America.
