SS GATE and JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION establish Swiss Workstation
Shanghai, China, 19 February 2013, SS GATE - www.ss-gate.org - and JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION jointly announced the official establishment of the 41th workstation of SS-GATE today. JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION has become one of the most important liaisons for SS-GATE in Europe. The establishment of 41th workstation will focus on North-South-South triangle cooperation, which is playing an increasingly important role in the SS-GATE global network. The cooperation between the Swiss workstation and the headquarter of SS-GATE will facilitate the technology transfer from the advanced economies to the developing countries.
Workstations are the integral part of SS-GATE’s operation system; they are the sub-system of SS-GATE, which are responsible for facilitating technology and assets exchange and investment. Transactions and services are supported in physical spaces via the SS-GATE Workstations located around the world. Such organizations will be our workstations as they will give developmental project information which will be broadcasted and matched on the platform for potential investments, markets and/or funding. A workstation will oversee the operations and give information for investment needs especially among SMEs and any other projects. We hope that the information gathered will be matched with that from other countries to help bridge developmental needs and investment. Workstations also will enjoy training from SS-GATE and direct communication and support with the project implementers to ensure smooth operations.
Mr. Han Bo, Vice-President of SS GATE, states: "We are extremely pleased to have the JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION as part of our network and we believe that this cooperation will accelerate the accomplishment of our mission and goals".
Mr. Johan Schotte, Chairman & Founder of JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION, clarified: "I believe that the establishment of the Swiss workstation is a landmark in itself as it re-emphasizes on our collaborative commitment to achieve success in bridging the technological & financial gap between developing and developed economies and greater cooperation between developing economies » to which Mr. Rakshit Mehta, Vice-Chairman of JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION, added : « Our aim is to deliver, innovative and creative strategies to implement the best in class value sharing methodologies across industry sectors. The mantra of successful business today is cooperation. «
The timing of SS-GATE & JOHAN SCHOTTE FOUNDATION collaboration comes as a logical outcome and as a pressing response to a global need for a sustainable, transparent and a committed platform that works principally for the benefit of its members through mutual cooperation.
Launched in 2006 by the United Nation Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) hosted in the United Nations Development Programme, SS-GATE started full-fledged operations in November 2008 following a successful pilot.
