Wednesday’s biggest gaining and declining stocks

Office-supply retailers continued to dominate the conversation on Wednesday, as Office Depot Inc. said it agreed to buy competitor Office Max. Shares of the two companies surged in premarket trade while Garmin Ltd. shares fell.
