If PlayStation rumours and leaks are true, Sony may be planning to offer a new technology to stream games on its next generation videogame console (upcoming PS4 device) -  will also feature touchpad and PlayStation Move capabilities. PlayStation 4 will pack chips from AMD.

Sony may launch the PlayStation 4 streaming service at the Sony event on Feb 20. HDo you think cloud-gaming can make Sony PlayStation 4 a biblical success story?

Sony will leverage its Gaikai technology to allow PS3 games to be streamed to the new console without needing to include any compatible hardware.

Microsoft, a longtime Sony rival is also expected to unveil its own next-generation console this year.

With Sony’s acquisition last year of cloud-gaming company Gaikai, it may see opportunity in porting cheap PS3 games and allowing users to pay something per month for the service or per game.

In another news, starting on February 28th Sony has also decided to cut the price of both the WiFi-only and the 3G versions of its PlayStation Vita handheld console in Japan.

Sony has updated the PlayStation website on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, with a video titled, “PlayStation Evolution”, which chronicles the introduction of the original PlayStation system in 1995, and the first Dual-Shock controller in 1997, as well as popular titles such as Crash Bandicoot, PaRappa the Rapper, and Gran Turismo.

Of course, this real-time streaming service will be a paid one. But nothing is known about  how much one will have to pay for it ?
