It looks like, as a result of dwindling PlayStation Vita sales, Sony has finally decided to cut the price of both the WiFi-only and the 3G versions of its PlayStation Vita handheld console in Japan – starting on February 28th.
But, company is yet to confirm a price drop for the PS Vita anywhere outside of Japan.
Another good news for all PS Vita owners in the country – they will get a free week’s worth of PlayStation Plus access.
From February 28, both the Wi-Fi and 3G versions of the device will cost 19,980 yen ($215), down from 24,980 yen ($269) for the Wi-Fi model, and 29,980 yen ($323) for the 3G model.
Finally, there’s a new, “Ice Silver” color version of the PS Vita, though again it’s only been confirmed for the Japanese market so far… rumor has it sony is planning to unveil next-generation PlayStation 4 console.
