LifePoint Beats Expectations, EPS Outlook Anemic
LifePoint Hospitals (LPNT) reported a drop in Q4 earnings and revenue early Friday. But the hospital operator's results still beat Wall Street analyst expectations. LifePoint issued full-year earnings outlook below analyst estimates as Medicare penalties and costs from ObamaCare could stack up. LifePoint, a spinoff of hospital giant HCA Holdings (HCA), said Q4 EPS fell 1% to 77 cents, beating estimates by 12 cents. Revenue dipped 2.5% to $893.3
