And yes, The Crowdfunding platform Kickstarter has launched a new iPhone and iPod touch app, allowing you to find and follow projects in real-time. There is no word on an Android version yet.
No Android Love =(
It’s the very first time, New York-based Kickstarter Kickstarter has an official mobile presence — it targets both at people backing projects and those creating them. It’s free, and you can download it here.
You can also update your Kickstarter project, track progress, or communicate with backers directly— “find and fund projects” through the app on your mobile.
Kickstarter raised $10 million in funding in 2011 from Union Square Ventures, Zach Klein, Caterina Fake, Chris Sacca, Jack Dorsey, and others.
“To make the Kickstarter app, we took things we’ve learned from the past three years of building Kickstarter and used them to redesign the experience from the ground up,” explains the company in a blog post.
“We focused on three things in particular: finding new projects, keeping up to date with projects you’ve already backed, and offering great tools for creators.”
