WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) today announced that the WellCare Community Foundation has donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross to assist local Georgia communities impacted by the devastating tornado that swept across Bartow and Gordon counties on Jan. 30, 2013.

WellCare of Georgia took steps to ensure its members received uninterrupted access to health care services and supplies in the storm's aftermath. As of Dec. 31, 2012, WellCare served more than 600,000 Georgia residents who are enrolled in its Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids(R), Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans.
