Clearwater Paper has established benchmarks to measure the company’s progress on sustainability. The company’s first CSR report outlines its goals to reduce water consumption by 20 percent, energy use by 15 percent, manufacturing solid waste to landfills by 20 percent, and greenhouse gas emissions by 15 percent, all by 2017. The report pledges resource investments in strategies and projects to achieve those reductions.
Sponsorium has announced the winners of the first Sponsorium Awards that recognize the top sponsorship and community investment performance of companies that are improving the quality of community life in local markets and globally. Winners were selected based on data that measured performance tracked through the cloud-based PerforMind platform. Those companies with the highest average scores measured against their specific objectives became finalists. Winners include AT&T, Lloyd’s Banking Group, and Hydro-Quebec for Sponsorship, and Farm Credit Canada, Gaz Metro, and Winn-Dixie for Community Investment. Sponsorium International is a management software provider.
Chrysler has been named as one of the 50 best employers for Hispanic women by Latina Style magazine. The magazine develops the list from a comprehensive survey sent to Fortune 1000 companies that highlights leadership programs, employee benefits, and Latina representation in senior positions. More than 800 companies are evaluated each year to identify the top 50.
