DESCRIPTION:

February 12, 2013 /3BL Media/ - With the retirement of Charles H. Moore as Executive Director, CECP has announced, effective February 19, 2013, a new management alignment, appointing Daryl G. Brewster as Chief Executive Officer and Margaret Coady as Executive Director. CECP, founded in 1999, is an unprecedented lever for societal change used by the world’s leading CEOs.

Brewster has an extensive senior executive career in consumer products, including roles as President at Kraft Foods/Nabisco Holding Company, Managing Director at Campbell Soup Company and turnaround CEO at Krispy Kreme Corporation, and since 2008, has been CEO of Brookside Management Consulting, a boutique firm providing advice to C-level executives at consumer companies, as well as to analysts and investors. He sits on the boards of several for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

Recognized as a top authority on emerging trends in corporate community engagement, Coady joined CECP in 2005 and has served as its Director since 2008. Coady's role will capitalize on the organization's new strategic plan, highlighting Top Actions that distinguish CEOs leading societal change through business, and will oversee CECP's partnership initiatives and thought leadership investments.

CECP draws together and empowers senior executives of the world’s leading companies to achieve unprecedented progress on societal challenges while driving business performance. Membership includes more than 190 CEOs and Chairpersons, whose companies account for more than 40% of total corporate contributions in the United States. CECP is a leader in measurement, executive conferences and thought leadership.

At its 8th annual Board of Boards CEO Conference in New York on International Corporate Philanthropy Day, February 25, 2013, CECP will launch its new strategic direction and will also present two Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy.

“Our stars are aligned with new strategy and goals, and a timely management alignment. Margaret Coady is a proven thought leader and strategist. Daryl Brewster brings fresh analytical skills, proven business experience and a passion for change that, combined with 13 years of major successes at CECP, will offer a transformative and irreplaceable experience for CEOs in our membership and for those who support them,” stated Douglas R. Conant, CECP Chairman. “The Board of Directors and all CEO members are extremely grateful for Charlie Moore’s tireless efforts and energy in driving CECP to recognize the rare potential and shared responsibility senior executives have in advancing solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.
