Well, let’s see… What’s not to like? Despite Apple’s efforts to discourage users from hacking its mobile devices. So, are you jailbreaking?
The evasi0n tool, a new highly-anticipated jailbreak is capable of jailbreaking every iOS 6 and 6.1 device on the market, including the iPhone 5, the iPad Mini, the fourth-generation iPad, and the fifth-generation iPod Touch is a massive hit!!!
Apple shipped iOS 6 last September, and updated it to 6.1 on Jan. 29. A record numbers of iOS mobile operating system owners have downloaded the jailbreak.
Apple continues to warn against evasi0n jailbreaking hack and cited a range of hazards such as: instability, security vulnerabilities, shortened battery life, unreliable voice and data, disruption of services, and the inability to apply future software updates.
“Wow, Apple *really* doesn’t like jailbreaking,” tweeted “MuscleNerd,” the nickname of Eric McDonald.
Andy Greenberg spoke with Cydia creator Jay Freeman about the jailbreak release yesterday, and according to his data, evasi0n was download over 800,000 times within the first six hours of availability. One of the ‘Evad3r’ hackers behind Evasi0n, pod2g, tweeted that Evasi0n had been downloaded over 100,000 times in only 10 minutes. 24 hours later, Cydia had logged 1.7 million devices that were cracked by Evasi0n.
