Digital Cinema Destinations Corp. (NASDAQ CM: DCIN) (Digiplex), today announced the appointment of John Halecky as Chief Marketing Officer. Halecky will oversee marketing and brand strategy for the rapidly expanding motion picture exhibitor that is transforming movie theaters into digital entertainment centers. Digiplex currently operates 18 locations with a total of 178 screens in Arizona, California, Connecticut, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The newly created position will report to Digiplex’s Chairman and CEO, A. Dale “Bud” Mayo.
“We are pleased to have an executive with John’s passion and acumen on the team as we continue to grow Digiplex as a leader in the transformation of out-of-home entertainment,” Mayo said.
Before the appointment, he was General Manager of Community Theaters, LLC, an independent cinema operator and a Principal at Tandem Media. He previously held marketing and communications positions at Clearview Cinemas, The Alpine Group, Alexander Consulting (now AON Consulting Worldwide) and Comstock Group, Inc., a diversified industrial services company.
John Halecky is a resident of Summit, New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Law from Lafayette College.
