Sands Soars As Strong Macau Offsets Weak Las Vegas
Las Vegas Sands (LVS) shares were up 6% in Thursday after trading after the nation's biggest casino company late Wednesday reported weak fourth quarter earnings but revenue surged as gamblers flocked to its Macau casinos. The report bodes well for smaller rivals Wynn Resorts (WYNN), which reports after the market close Thursday, and MGM Resorts (MGM).
