P&G, Kimberly-Clark Top With New Products, Low Costs
Cosmetic and personal care companies, Procter & Gamble (PG) and Kimberly-Clark (KMB) reported sales are earnings above estimates Friday on falling commodity costs and new products. P&G, the maker of Tide detergent, Venus razors and Pampers diapers, said second-quarter earnings climbed 11% to $1.22, beating analyst expectations by 11 cents. Sales rose 0.5% to $22.2 billion, above estimates for $21.9 billion. Shares rose modestly in morning trade.
