Stocks displayed positive action by rallying into the close Tuesday, starting a holiday-shortened week with moderate gains. The tally of distribution days, which are sessions with significant selling, also moved in the right direction. The Nasdaq lost its Dec. 13 distribution day, because enough time has passed that it's no longer relevant.
