The Mexico Fund, Inc. Announces Composition of 2012 Distributions

WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- The Mexico Fund, Inc. (NYSE: MXF) announced today that the four distributions corresponding to the fiscal year 2012, which together totaled $2.4142 per share, were comprised of $0.1498 net investment income, $0.0210 short-term capital gains and $2.2434 long-term capital gains, as shown in the following table. The Fund will send stockholders a Form 1099-DIV for the 2012 calendar year informing them of how to report these distributions for federal income tax purposes.
